SciTech2U’s mission is to nurture future scientists. We realize this mission by making high-quality, hands-on scientific lab experiences accessible to K-12 youth, including to ethnic/racial minority, female, and low-income youth.
We envision a learning community where all children have access to high-quality, intellectually challenging science, technology, engineering, art and Math (STEAM) enrichment opportunities, ultimately leading to a highly qualified STEM workforce.
Founded in 2011 in Montgomery County, MD, SciTech2U is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization with a mission to nurture future scientists by providing high-quality and creative, out-of-school time (OST) and after-school scientific instruction and activities to youth, K-12.
SciTech2U’s philosophy of learning is based on the belief that when students “experience” learning, they are more likely to gain and retain additional knowledge. That is why SciTech2U invests in developing innovative and creative hands-on, experiential learning activities to reinforce complex STEAM concepts in a safe and nurturing environment.
Students confidently learn to dissect organs, explore cancer cells, discover revelations of DNA, become effective stewards of the environment, design and build crafts, experience gravity in wind tunnels and through in-flight aeronautics, and more.
At SciTech2U, we believe that every child deserves access to high-quality and innovative learning opportunities regardless of any barriers they may experience. That is why Scitech2U seeks and invests a significant amount of resources to make its OST programs accessible to ethnic/racial minorities, low-income persons and females.
